Being in the medical field, I see many times older patients who are losing their site and wear glasses that are not the correct strength. When I ask them why they do not update their prescription strength, the answer is almost always related to money and the expensive price most local shops charge.

Recently I came across an article which gave a few pros of a new company that charges a fraction of what a local store might charge. From the article, the only drawback that I could notice was the fact that the glasses are made overseas and therefore will take a little longer to obtain. However, with the amount of people that carry around their prescriptions, this might not be that big of an inconvenience.
