Freebie Monday #2 – Free Books!!
filed in Freebie Monday!! on Jan.05, 2009
Everyone reads, I mean, your doing right right now! lol
So some have preference in comics, others have magazines, and those that like readings novels, I have a link for you.
Harper Collins and Random House are two major publishers. Both have offers that allow you to obtain advance copies of books that they are going to release in the next few weeks. This is ongoing and I am going to share how I have essentially saved hundreds of dollars each year on getting free books. These are quality reads and come to your door via mail for FREE!! (save time driving, save hassle of searching, save money!!!!)

Normally, the books are first come first serve. And have a retail of about $20/book which you dont have to worry about. There are selections for Adults & Children, the whole family can spend quality time reading and discussing. After you are done with the book, its recommended you pass it along while others might opt to sell to a used book store which essentially would put money in your pocket.
Personally, I have been with the Random House club for about 3 months now and have got quite a few good reads which after I read either left behind at my local Starbucks (hoping another will pick up and read) or passed along to a friend.
Here are the links:
1. Harper Collins First Look Programs Free Books (Kids, Teens and Adults)
For this program, you will have to register and qualify to review books. Basically all the information can be found on the below links: (note, a friend of mine has not done a review thus far and keeps getting books)
Adults: click here for Adult books
Teens: click here for TEEN books/
Kids: link for quality children books (free)
Once you sign up, you will get a newsletter with all info on upcoming books and how to obtain one. Also, the “Adults” link will have a FAQ if you have further questions. As far as I am aware, this only works in the US.
2. Random House / Read It Forward / Free Advance Copies of Select Books
This program is also monthly and you dont need to register. Just keep an eye out for the book listings and the information will be updated monthly. This program has worked for me and the books have been great!
Link: Read it Forward Program
The books are listed on the left side as you scroll down.
These two above sources can provide ample reading and shave your expenses greatly. Try them out and tell a friend. Enjoy the freebie!
Happy Investing!
