The Power of a Message
filed in Odds and Ends on Apr.13, 2010
To some, an advert on TV is just a pointless waste sandwiched between bits of their favorite show. Most of the time, I will agree with this sentiment. But once in a while, a marketing company will come up with something that will not only get your attention, but give you powerful message in less time than some shows could do in 30mins.

SoupFilms came up with a commercial called “Paths” and I was just taken away by it. There have been times when we wanted to stop, take the easy way, or felt like being alone on a journey was enough to look back. This commercial spoke volumes and minimized those doubts and hesitations and amplified the will to aim higher and keep building my own path.
Enjoy the commercial!

You’re right, that is definitely not your standard commercial and very inspiring. Thanks for bringing it up.
Till then,

Yea, the video’s not online anymore. But I agree with the original point. Not all advertisements are pointless. Sometimes, I watch the ads just to see the creativity displayed in them in new and innovative ways.

Well said. I also do that a lot and as a result, don’t mind commercials too much. Some are even better than the show that I am watching!
